This new one worked perfectly right out of the box. Turns right on just as soon as you turn the camera on , no annoying delays . So far I have tested it with the 17-40 L, 28-105, 85mm 1.8 and the Nifty Fifty 50mm 1.8 with no issues. The price point is also seductive being far less expensive than any of its competitors.It controls the aperture. Auto focus works most of the time, and focus confirmation works, too. Most exif data is delivered to the camera. I highly recommend it for its useability and price point.

Dad loved it, fits perfect with the lens and camera, my old pop is going to have fun taking pictures.It works. Well, I'll say it works with the one EF lens we have access to. Focal length, aperture (and shutter speed and iso, of course) are communicated to the camera and saved with the images. With these two lenses the AF speed, accuracy and sensitivity are equal to that on Canon AF bodies - excellent! it does the job nicely. I recommend it.

Lenses tested with autofocus and in aperture priority mode indoors. Manual focus performance is same for all the lenses. YMMV vary with lighting conditions. For the price, this adapter does the trick. I own a SONY NEX-5T and yes when using this adapter, you will find it will take anywhere from 1-2 seconds to autofocus. And the unit is easy to put on the camera and use. I think it is a great bargain as far as I'm concerned.

Work great with my Canon 50mm 1.4, 17-85mm, 70-300mm. Image Stabilizer works great on the Canon lenses.Build quality is very good, works with all my canon lenses no issues.The adapter itself is nice; the workmanship is solid (all metal) and the contacts work well. You get 80% of Metabones' functionality for 1/4 of Metabones' price. I am also happy to pay much less for a bit less of a performance. It works out for me.

Inexpensive compared to Metabones or even other adapters from Neewer, Commilite, Fotasy etc etc. Build quality is decent with an all metal body. Contacts are solid. Camera side is a very snug fit but lens side is not as snug just a very very tiny bit of play.Manual focus on the other hand is very good with the help of the peaking feature of the camera. Autofocus is best among all the Canon lenses.For the price I paid here, this little adaptor is amazing.
