    The controls are slightly more complex than the yn560iii but it's just like anything new with a minor learning curve. I find it is a little easier to use for changing settings on the remotes. Range seems to be similar to others in this series and works fine in a mid sized reception hall.The battery compartment door seems pretty solid.

    It is very easy to set your flash to the proper amount of power. If it ts too bright, turn the power down. If it is too dark, turn the power up. That is all there is to it. If you then move in closer, turn the flash down and if further away turn it up one setting.it can act as a transmitter and a flash all at the same time.Love this flash!I'm a happy photographer indeed!

    I'm using it as off camera flash and no problems at all! I am enjoying this new flash.These are wonderful flashes, they have been a work horse for me now for a long time.I was surprised how durable this speedlite feels. It's sturdy and doesn't feel like cheap or plasticy like some other speedlites.Good quality. For my purposes, this is a fantastic flash. I highly reccomend this product, especially for photographers like me who are trying to improve lighting techniques.

    Nice speedlite to have.It works perfectly for what I need. I use them for in studio work as well as outdoors, and even at wedding venues. This speed light works as Master or slave, so there is no need for receivers. Terrific for the money, and a very nice back-up or second chair to my Canon flash. Fantastic flash for a fraction of the cost! This flash is solidly built, versatile, and dependable.
